Why I am going to Hell... Satrorial Confessions

Forgive me Styleforum for I have sinned,

Okay, so there are these bus ads around my town for some "mentally challenged" charity. There is a nice young man dressed in a dinner jacket. Every time I see the ad I say to myself, "Of course he's retarded, he's wearing a red bow tie with a dinner jacket." There is no explanation why this young man is wearing a such an outfit. Is he getting married? Sports award dinner? Just made a billion dollars in business? The ads feels like it is trying to tell us that mentally challenged people are just like us, except he is in a dinner jacket with a red bow tie. It's almost if he is being ridiculed in the ad and doesn't know it. -- and thus I am going to Hell.

And I also forgot what this week's euphemism is. Apologies.

I hear the message in the PSA, but I'm suspicious as well.  I haven't heard any of those epithets in a long time, other than an occasional Hollywood movie (it's nice to hide behind artistic license, eh).  They seem to be out of date.  I have to wonder why they resurrected these terms for the PSA.  It's almost as if they were trying to provoke the audience.  I can't help but find that a bit insulting.
