I wonder WTF a sea otter would taste like...

I would like to taste a walrus and a seal.

As for eels, the meat is quite tender. Last time, in China, they had this weird-looking fish that resembled a chunky, muddy tapeworm writhing.

In Japan, several kinds of eels, including conger eel are widely available as sushi, though always cooked. They are thought to be aphrodisiacs.

Sea urchin is also widely available, but is an acquired taste for most. Another favorite of mine that I never fail to mention on threads like this is kani miso, or crab brains.

I imagine these things would be available at any decent Japanese restaurant or sushi bar in the States.

A sort of eel on rice seems to be a popular bento item.

PHOTOSSSSS.

this was a plate of assorted mariscos at a restaurant in viña del mar. in the background is my fresh pineapple juice.

pastel de choclo prepared traditionally baked in a "paila".

this was my conger eel "a lo pobre". if you get a bistec or pescado 'a lo pobre' your meat or fish it comes with fries and two eggs and fried onions. bistec a lo pobre is a really popular dish in chile. its a good combo and really good when you're hungry
