Expect to pay about $200 or so for decent trousers in my experience, and up to $750 if you like to ball.
Thank you! I'll definitely check those out. At $70k, $200 pants are at the upper end of affordable for me. $750 is my mortgage payment.
Guess I've wondered into a rich corner of the web. I might appear strange to some of you, but I am real. And some of you appear strange to me. I think a guy in (expensive, I'm sure) bluejeans and a suit jacket looks like he's just missed a casting call for a 90s rom-com. I don't mean that in a mean-spirited way. To be fair, I often dress a bit like the dickhead older brother in an 80s Summer Camp movie. Different strokes ...
I work in the oil industry. Most of the principles in my company came from the field. I often see millionaires in the elevator wearing $40 pants and plaid Merino wool shirts. That is a look and there is a purpose behind it: A man who has been blue collar wants to project to the world that if things got bad enough, if the shit really hit the fan, he could roll up his sleeves and go back to throwing tongs.
I am an actual human being who just doesn't care for swishy pants and who, unhappy with his choices, wants to believe there must be some place out there to find a different fit. I thought this might be a good place to start looking.
