Hoodog, I have the exact same pair on the left (Dover on 82 in Willow Calf??)

One of my top 5 pair in my small collection

I have Dovers on the 606, 202, and 32. All are very nice lasts for this model, and they all offer unique qualities.

IMO, the quintessential Dover is Dark Oak on the 606 (which I happen to own). biggrin.gif

I know, right? I was just in contact with them about a Country Calf Dover, but I'm thinking of just sticking with smooth calf. Although a Mahogany or Walnut CC would be bad, too!

I have a Walnut CC Dover. It is a wonderful shoe.

To be clear, this would be a MTO through SkoAB, since their Dover stock models are all on the 606. Unfortunately, no Dovers on the 202 and in DOAK seem to be on the current EG stock list, so you can't get around the MTO fee that way either... :(

In the current price list I have for EG, the Dover is offered (and possibly stocked) in three lasts: 606, 202, 32.  I am not sure what the stock colors are for any, but I would guess Dark Oak could be one.   If you were to order from Skoak, I am not sure a MTO upcharge would apply, though you would indeed have to wait either for the stock requisition from an EG store or a factory makeup.

I hope this helps.  Cheers.

I believe hoodog's left pair is on the 202.

That does help. I'll see what Patrik says in the morning (for him).

Does anyone own Edward Green cordovan (crup) shoes?  I am interested in pictures and experience on the subject. Thanks. Cheers.

Care to weigh in on our 202 vs. 606 debate?

I like the 202 last a lot. I have not seen the 606 in person. I will reserve judgement until I do. However I would like the Nevis in 606 perhaps. I lean towards more conservative make ups and the 202 is about as classic as it gets

I think it might be time for me to repost these pictures again, as a kind of consumer advice:

Those look great, hoodog. How do you like the Chestnut Dovers? I have a pair of Dovers in Dark Oak Antique, and like them a lot. I thought about adding a few more to my rotation next month. One pair in Chestnut, another in nutmeg suede, and perhaps one more in Burnt Pine. I'm not sure the lighter colors would work that well, however. Any thoughts?
