Last time I was there (I think 3-4 weeks ago), they did not have any type of boots. They had the Dover, Westminister, and I think 3 or 4 other shoes. If you go and they start putting EG on sale, let me know! smile.gif

Panico wears something similar - a black suede single monk strap chukka boot. I admit I wanted to get something similar after seeing his, so I was thinking about having the Olneys MTO in black suede, but I'm a bit unsure on how practical it would be. I mostly wear sport coats and odd trousers, and I don't think black suede would play well with that.

I agree. You'd have to have the Panico-panache to pull those off in Black Suede. They look great on him, but I'm not a 60 year old Italian dude with a mustache and Neapolitan suits who smokes with a slow, deep charismatic voice.

Brown Calf is much more practical for a rube like me.

This is definitely the best way to do it. Try out a pair in a store so you can know your sizing for sure, before buying them online.

Has anybody from the US ordered from Edwards of Manchester before? They ship DHL so I am assuming there will be a fee assessed, but I wanted to check first to confirm.

Agreed. I like EG's antiquing in their dark oak over G&G's and even JL's museum brown.

I just placed my first order with them on Friday...I didn't even think about the fee.

I'd definitely like to know......

Anyone?

Thanks

not sure, why an online order from vass should be more tricky than from any other company, given you can't try on the shoe in question before ordering? but vass sizing is a pet peevee around. each to his own. nvm.
