Great color; looks very close to Edwardian to me.

Thanks for confirming the width. D definitely will take a break to work for me. At a point where I'm stick to the exact last/size that works and avoid rationalizing (size up/down length/width)... I have had fewer buyer's remorse or loss from having to flip due to fit.

Wear in good health!

It will always say D in RL's make up, doesn't mean it's English D which would be narrow fit. I am under the impression if RL label it 10D on the box then it's 9.5E UK, and says 9.5/10 on the shoe (without saying D or E on the shoe)

There has been a lot of discussion about this here in the past.

Most RL/EG's are marked D inside the shoe. However, I've owned RL/EG's that were marked E width inside the shoe. (Possibly from the UK market)

I think I might just have to cancel my vacation and drive into the city tomorrow and pick these up; a personal pair of MTOs that just came in. Edward Green "Cottesbrook" in Nightshade calf, 82 last (F-fitting) :D

Excellent, very helpful advice. Walking is allegedly good for you, so as long as the weather is decent, that’s my go-to plan.

Break in your new shoes as you walk around town. Nothing's says hello like walking into JL with a fresh pair of EG

Pretty sure that's for UK market, at least that's what I saw in London's RL shop

I am trying to decide on the last for a MTO pair of Dovers - any strong opinions of 202 vs 606? Much appreciated!

i would 2nd the 606 sentiment. I think the nst works well on the 606

Definitely discussed in the past. My experience with the Mansion is that the D they have in EG (and also in G&G) are UK D; I have worn my EGs in E and tried on EG for RL marked D and they are noticeably narrower.

Once in a while they do have EG/RL in E though at the Mansion, but it might have been random stock.

Yeah I tried on about 5 pairs of RL EGs all too narrow for me

Very, very nice. You should do "F" fittings for your shop.
