Here are few quick and dirty comparison pics of my Bronze pair and my Dark Oak pair.

I was speaking to Mr. Christopher Gumbs (many of you have probably met Chris before, he used to be the store manager at EG Jermyn Street, now he is the new sales director after Xavier left the company a couple of months back) yesterday during our Edward Green Trunk Show and got some more info in regards of why EG is so restrictive with Cordovan boots. Basically the only boot they will make in Cordovan is the Alderley. The reason is they can't get the Cordovan to shape well at the leg with boot patterns, it ruins the shell (I expect that this is why Carmina won't make Jodhpurs or Chelseas in Cordovan).

But the Alderley is not bad bad choice for an EG Cordovan make-up? What say you?

A whiskey shell version with HAF soles and natural colour sole edges would be awesome...

If I were to get one my vote would be for a lighter color of shell if possible as well. Walnut would be my first choice, however whiskey might be a good alternative. How does whiskey compare to walnut, are they about the same?

Leaves, thanks for checking on what the issue was with making the Galway in cordovan.

I believe there is a shortage of shell especially the lighter color. I talked to AE yesterday about Walnut shell and they said they could not obtain it.

Yeah, but one can always dream.

The worst they can say is no when one asks.
