If I know I am a UK9E in 202 last, shall I take a 9F in 888 or 9E?

I wear 9e and 9d in the 202 and 888.

The Westminsters on the far right - are they chocolate or mocha suede?

Thanks UG, if you or anyone else has pics of mocha suede in comparison or on its own, I'd love to see them.

I take it that it would fall somewhere between the two Westminster morels shown? Neither as dark as mink nor as light as the other (tobacco?)?

Mocha on the Shannon, Nutmeg on the Dover, Tabacco and Mink on the Westministers

I don't know why but it just looks strange and a bit feminine to my eye. I think allot of models would look perfect on a 1 1/2 thick sole like (sans the taper) for example: The Dover, The Westminster and The Oundle.

I think the double sole looks way to thick when used on certain models on smaller sizes. The proportions of the sole to the rest of the shoe on a Dover in size 10+ look great to my eye, but in my size UK6E I think the thickness of a double in proportion to the rest makes the shoe look way too clunky.

I have tried on the Dover on three separate occasions and each time it disappointed me due to the issues I have with the double and HAF soles.

The look of the HAF isn't something you'd notice when wearing them, but I like them better on a boot. I agree with your take on double soles - don't see a need for them.

I don't like a full Dainte on shoes - too heavy - but I've had 1/2 Dainte soles on some shoes and boots and they turned out rather well. Both EG and G&G offer the 1/2 Dainte.
