My first EGs were (are) a pair of Dovers on the 32 last in heather gorse from Paul Stuart.
The last pair on the right...
OUCH, that's a tremendous line up!
What do you think of the heather gorse? And is it Edwardian or Chestnut in the middle?
Thanks for sharing!
Great, thanks! Now we just need to know which lasts are represented
PS: - I might have found myself a new screensaver there
Very interesting, thanks a lot for your reply! Indeed, I have heard the term Heather Gorse used about EG's zug grain, so this is no doubt the stuff. Do you know which colour(s) they stock? I'm not inclined towards a top drawer per se, I'm just inclined to anything that would make EG consider doing a full shearing lining. So I thought (read: hoped) that the extra payment of the top drawer might make them consider it.
My idea is to make a battle ship of a winter boot in Heather Gorse and suede (preferably tan shades), as much shearling lining as possible, ridgeway sole and obviously Veldtschoen. I think it would be awesome.
Thanks a lot!
SKM, you are onto something here! I have been holding out for a Galway in Heather Gorse, and a shearling lined shaft sounds great, as do Ridgeway Soles and Veldtschoen construction. Perhaps there are others who would consider such a group order. PM me if you want to try to organize something. Cheers.
This is Mahogany Country Calf on Dainite. Indoor/Outdoor pics. We still have stock and free shipping on our EG boots.
