Were these MTOs on one of the two "standard" lasts available for the shoes you were ordering? Perhaps this is the difference as I nearly always request a non standard last or a special leather, sole or welt.

I haven't ordered as many EGs in the last 1.5 years as I am focused on bespoke now, but of the 5 MTOs I received during this time only one pair arrived anywhere near 9 months in time. Maybe I've been unlucky.

I think your size and last also may be a factor. I imagine if you are on the most popular size and the most popular last your wait time might be a little longer. I also think it is dependent upon which retailer you go through (to some extent). I ordered a pair of top drawer shoes (my first) in early Nov. I was quoted 4 months which is by far the shortest I've been quoted. We'll see if they arrive in that time frame. Since 2009 I'd say the average has been 6-7 months for me with the low end being 5 months and the high end being 9 months.

U-cap on 82 last, coincidentally also Weymouths, albeit without medallion:

I don't have a digital camera, and so had to scan regular pictures. Chelsea (above) and Weymouth, both in Dark Oak Antique:

The Weymouths as seen from above:

All in all, I'm very, very happy with the end result

This is one of the most interesting models in my opinion.  It may not be for everyone but very striking.

It is not for me.

I have checked on a few MTOs in the last month or so. Without exception I have been told 4 months.

This is my experience as well. However, I believe my second to last was six months.

I can do Windsor or Weymouth, single or HAF, Edwardian Antique and either 888 or 82-- but not 202. My preference is Windsor.

For reference, my Weymouth's on 888:

That is a great shoe. Might have to vote Weymouth.

That adelaide is stunning. One of the nicest EGs I've ever seen

Ok. So can we get six for they Weymouth? Specs would be the 888 last, (as an oxford I would vote single sole) and Edwardian antique and natural edge.
Yep, they're both nice, but I'd go with the adelaide Weymouth as well - mainly because I have enough u-tip derbies. I would also go with edwardian antique, natural sole edges (as shown in the previous Leffot image), and HAF sole. I think I would prefer the 82 but could probably also go with the 888. It sounds like 4-6 months is a possibility, and I could live with that as well.

Well I can compromise on the sole and go HAF. I am ok with 82 but really prefer 888. Let's see if we can get others and then go majority vote on last, if that is ok with you?

Just picked up the EG Wells in Dark Oak Antiqued on 82 last from Brooks Brothers.  Used my corporate discount, and of course shoe trees were included:

Anyone here own the Wells?  It's gorgeous and extremely versatile.  Wish I had purchased it sooner, and surprised it's not more popular on this thread.
