Very nice combo. Has the black made a difference yet?

Thanks. Really not my intention to darken it but I eventually plan to get another pair in burgundy (maybe the Beaulieu) and intentionally have one eventually darken over time and the other lighten.

Barely any difference since I haven't really polished them often.

Leather Soul posted a piece on exactly what you planned to do, with the results as below:

Yes, this was actually the picture that gave me the idea... now that I see it again, maybe I'll go darker with the Beaulieu and lighter with my Inverness (although I think those in the picture are Malverns). icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Dark Oak, 808 last

No, they are Fromes:

Takuya’s Beaulieus have aged quite dramatically since he first purchased them in 2008. They have become lighter and redder in tone whereas Kuni’s Fromes have aged darker with the help of dark burgundy and black waxes and creams. - See more at: http://leathersoulhawaii.com/2010/10/21/edward-green-aging-of-burgundy-antique/#sthash.HZBO0dU8.dpuf

San Francisco 49ers Galway Group MTO
Also, I wanted to pick up on the San Francisco 49ers Galway Group MTO that was being discussed before. We had 3-4 people interested but I need 6 to avoid the MTO fee. Price will be 6960 SEK ex VAT (about $1065) including shipping and handling. Uppers (the bottom part) will be in Edwardian and the quarter/shaft will be in Berry Suede. Double leather sole (can be discussed). PM me or e-mail sales@skoaktiebolaget.se for details on this GMTO.

Galway:
CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v62), quality = 100

The suede is awesome but I do have preference for pebble... might have to mull over these Galways.

Man, the past couple of games have been painful... At least the bitter coldness here in MI numbs the pain. satisfied.gif

true. it could always be worse. you could be a lions fan and have to agonize over bone-headed plays all season. then again a midnight navy and cloud boot would look half-decent

Now THAT is an idea... The Galway search is still on...

At least I have a few stuff coming in... NAMOR, you'll appreciate a couple: a pair of whiskey LWB and a pair of whiskey wingtip boots. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Spring will be something to look forward to. biggrin.gif

But I digress... back to EG!

Or a Cowboys fan.  Ask me how I know. :brick:  Navy and cloud would rock.

Clearly someone needs to make the suggestion to Edward Green of a partnership with the NFL (and, since they're English, with the Premier League) whereby they offer boots in the colours of various teams.  True supporters could buy boots in their club colours, and the rest of us could buy whichever colour combination we think looks terrific.
