Slate is the darker shade.

WHAT? BB has a slate captoe? Is this on their website? I've only seen black and dark oak!

The downtownToronto store has one - my size and everything - but I have bought more than enough shoes of late - trying.... to..... resist....

Just looked at the site and (obviously) they do not have my size. It looks more cloud though than slate. My Oundles in slate is VERY dark gray.

I believe somebody was able to special order a size in EG for BB model. They've also started allowing the corporate discount on them. The price is pretty good with lasted shoe trees.

I'm trying to find reasons NOT to pick up more EG... you're not helping devil.gif

My birthday is coming up... smile.gif

I need to sign up on that corporate card thing... I know the directions are somewhere on the BB thread...

Relaying info is all. I've been tempted to order EG through BB due to the easy return process relative to other retailers.

It took a lot of willpower to resist the galways during corporate day. Too bad I don't know if I'm an E or F in 82 or 888. Right there with ya on temptation.

+1

With the always-available 15% corporate discount, and the trees, the price is decent - and quite competitive. Couple that with BB's (current) availability and return policy, and you have yourself a very viable option for the acquisition of EGs.

This sounds interesting. Has anyone been able to substantiate or verify this? Thanks.

Thanks for posting this, stevent! I ordered the burgundy Kibworths last night. I really like elastic gore loafers, already have a pair in dark brown (RLPL Darwin), and thought my chance of finding an affordable pair in burgundy was nil, so I'm very pleased. I'm hoping they're actually burgundy antique, but I can easily antique them myself.
