Agreed.  My local retailer has one and it is just stunning.

We have a few more staff liking the black over the brown, about 60/40.  I am all for the brown but we would like to hear your opinions on which is the best.

Unipair, I like them both...  They both came out so nice.  I can see myself wearing both of them.  But I will pick the dark oak because I feel the antiqued look can be a little more casual than solid black.

The black indoors does look sharp but I agree that the dark oak can be worn with various colors.  I am going to get the brown Shannons soon.  :nodding:

Just received these baby today. Totally unexpected. Placed MTO order in Aug, was told the delivery time would be end of Dec. Soooo happy.

No question the dark oak is the way to go if casual wear is a priority.

I have balmoral boots in similar colorways but my preference is for brown. I typically only wear my black Shannons with dark gray or navy suits. Both look stunning though!

Shoes being treated like shoes. Love it. While I can't quite bring myself around to accepting ware and tare (or is it wear and tear), I do appreciate it when others can. (Though the writing on them goes a bit far, even for me.)

I hope you keep enjoying them.

Hello. Members.

I saw on EG's website short version of chelsea boots called Camden.   Has anybody got this and have a real life picture of shoes?

I am especially interested in seeing texture of stagskin one.

Strange how the leather on the Edwardian (purchased in '09) seems so much better than that of the DO/CC (purchased early this year). Shame really as the latter have become my favourite.
Can't be helped I suppose as no two pieces of leather are the same.

Very nice, FrankZ. Did you order them through EG?

Crat, I love your country boots. I don't baby my boots, but you sure do take that to a whole new level. Will there be a third?

You didn't baby your Galways Crat!

Have a new aquisition from a fleebay. My only black boots, but I can't stay away from a 232 euro deal for the NIB boots.

EG for Ed Meier, black calf Gresham on 82 last, single rubber sole.

Size is UK10E and compared to my usual UK9,5E these are not snug fromthe beginning, should keep this size for 888 and 82 lasts.
