Having one from each group, a solid black work shoe and a more colorful shoe, helps keep your wardrobe balanced.

Thanks for the help gents.

LOL - no offense, Namor - I like the cloud a bunch, but I am craving the slate in a next-buy kind of way.  If I were to add a second grey pair down the road, cloud would be it.

From the Leffot web site: Indigo Suede (center) | Cardinal Suede. I don't have links for all EG colors. I suspect all is a moving target, anyway. Browsing the Leffot site, you'll see a great variety.

i agree with this pretty much word-for-word, except that i'd probably lean nightshade (nightshade dovers..?), but that's mostly just because my last two orders have been in navy

^^ whoa yeah, cardinal is definitely a 10. the indigo up there didn't seem as wild to me (sorta like a lighter navy?) but ymmv of course. thanks for the links!

here are some more slate/cloud pics in case anyone's still curious, all from leather soul:

that's a more subtle contrast between black and slate than i anticipated. LS labeled all of these as "slate antique," what are the differences (if any) between that and just slate calf?

Point well taken, but I'd rather get the color I want if spending $1,000+ on shoes. I got a JL model in plum museum calf instead. The color, for what I wanted, is perfect.

Indigo is not that bright. I agree it's a lighter shade of Navy
