Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy - Page 321

Yeah, thanks. Don't think it's the same pair though, the colors are listed as blue in the previous one and black in the new, and do look a bit different. The sticker on the sole seem to be in a bit different place as well. But they are certainly made for the same Hardy Amies-show.

I seem to remeber Nevis on 606 in Mahogany Country Calf being a part of this year's Edward Green catalog? Anyways I might be interested Nevis too so if you want to pursue group MTO to avoid MTO fee let me know.

No - MTO is +GBP150! Nevis is not available in Dark Oak, this would be MTO only, the Nevis is however available in Chestnut or Mahogany country calf. Too rich for my Blood (once again we are ruined by SF pricing). For that coin I will think about retail on a pair of Corthay or St C's.....

That is steep? There must have been price increase.

Corthay is a bit too fashion forward for me. I didn't find the shoes I handled to be any better constructed than eg.

Yes, a slight hike.

With so many awesome Galway contributions to this thread, I am finding it pretty hard to decide what make up I like the most and that should be part of a future order. Currently, I am somewhere in between dark oak/mink suede and dark oak/grain, but I am not sure. I am thinking that the suede version might be a bit less versatile. Up until recently I was convinced that the grain version was the only way to go.

:fu: What do you guys think? What is the nicest Galway make up?

I hope this helps!

Poor EG - they have been relegated to the likes of Kurt Geiger, Russell & Bromley

hoodog - I don't think there's a "best" - but I haven't seen a pair I'd swap these for:

I don't think the suede / calf combo is any less versatile - it's a matter of personal preference - but for me, I decided that I wanted a dressier all suede bal boot as a companion to the Galway.

+1. Those are just gorgeous.

EG cannot do anything to the pair of shoes linked above. They were color with a gold cream polish.

Here is their response:

Dear Sir

The shoes in question were polished with a gold cream for a fashion show as you mentioned.

I am afraid it is not possible to now change the colour with any degree of success.
