Veldt boots were perfect for yesterday's rain:

Can't help but feel that the almond country calf looks better, the more exposed to the elements it gets:

And just had the EG-made shooting boots for Holland & Holland back from the Shoe Healer, who fixed the loose heels and added a leather stack, these boots in rosewood country calf:

Now to get these babies, along with the shearling-lined ones, waxed up for autumn...

Did you use the Chelsea wax this time ? I had the same on yesterday because of the rain here but by the afternoon it warmed up nicely!

Thank goodness.

Just a bit ago someone here was talking about Inverness or something.

It's nice to know at least some people here have the good sense to talk about Galways.cheers.gif

special make-up from axels

thanks guys, wore them yesterday to much fanfare. hard to beat this makeup.

the shannons were originally purchased from match and the owner had the uppers dyed from cloud gray to black. however the dye job was more like a bad paint job and upon delivery i noticed the color chipping off. ill get them redyed eventually but Im enjoying the way they look now. Might just polish with black once the old dye comes off

Way to go Namor - the coolest.

Not done it yet, but will use the Chelsea wax on a few pairs of boots and try and see if the stuff is actually any different to Obenauf's. To be fair, these things are probably all the same and, if I'm being honest, the Obenauf's smells better than the Chelsea.

Will be doing some of the waxing tomorrow, all being well.

I just received my EG Navy Cordovan Wingtips.

I'm so pumped.

Unfortunately there really isn't any good light right now, so I'll have to take some pictures later.

I am of the mind that one cannot have to many posted related to the Galway.

Mine are all freshly greased, just to add to their allure...

And here they are. Very impressed with how the Chelsea Leather Food was absorbed by the boots, and the dubbin didn't leave the greasy hangover you often find with stuff like this.

Looking good, all ready for the winter. I love the dark brown with the red laces!
