Aportnoy, where do you store all your shoes?!?! Must be a crazy closet. I'm sure you could charge admission for people to come and take a look at your EG collection.

Dumb questions- Can someone speak to the quality and construction of the EGs on farfetch.com.?

Check this link, it says shipped from Tassinari, Bologna, Italy and the price, in my admittedly inexpert opinion, seems to be as decent as I have seen at a retailer for first line EGS.

Man, that is a fantastic collection, I hope you get to wear them one day!!!!

Why all so new?

Does anyone by chance have an idea of how EG's 404 last compares to any of their current makes?

BTW, aportnoy, fantastic collection. No matter how often I see those photos on SF, I never tire of them.

Or, has anyone seen a man in NYC walk into a shoe store with a prayer rug under his arm and a camera over his shoulder?

Haha if I had that many works of art I'd be tempted to not wear them as well... thankfully I don't have that problem!

On another note, I am picking up my first pair of EGs - Dark Oak Dovers, any pointers for a soon-to-be-graduate? I know a rubber topsole/topy is blasphemy to some degree, but what are your thoughts on actually getting this done? I really want to extend the life of the soles. I'd also appreciate any other pointers regarding EG care smile.gif
