Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy - Page 23

I thought this was slightly humorous. The last two times I did a MTO from EG, I e-mailed them two weeks after the quoted lead time to inquire about the status. I received these replies one or two days later:

"Your shoes arrived into the store this morning and will be shipped this afternoon, you must of sensed something!"

"That's spooky! They arrived in our store this morning and we hope to send them out to you later this afternoon."

I'm beginning to think they just forgot to send them to me. Either that, or I have a sixth shoe-sense. At any rate, my nightshade Westminster's are finally coming.

My first Edward Green pair

These are Brooksville in UK 9,5/10E 888 Last, calf and suede combo.

I normally wear european 43,5 (UK9,5) and this pair fits me very well, need to break-in a little, but from the beginning feels nice.

In opposite to the 202 and 82 lasts, which I tried in blucher and oxford variants, they do not fit - too narrow and low instep, that's why oxfords looks awfull, bluchers were simply uncomfortable. It's a pity as I really like how EG models looks like.

Two shots from the shop, sorry for the crapy iphone pictures, poor light.

the 202 is for a low instep?

In my opinion - yes. Maybe I'm wrong and the reason was the width, but the eyelet tabs on the oxfords formed a very nasty wide V on my feet.

From the other side - I didn't try oxford in 82 and 888 lasts, only derbies, so can't compare the instep.
