Thank you, I though you gentlemen would like it. I missed the chance to buy them from Matches and the EG shop did not have my size in stock so,I finally had to pay a premium for them! Never mind I am happy.

Wanted: RLPL Grant and MacKay in Dark Oak and Black, US size 10.5

Are you talking about the mansion on Madison? I've been in there somewhat recently, and they said they have scaled down EG because of the G&G and Sassetti shoes, but they have no plans of stopping completely. And they had a good handful of models.

I wore these all day yesterday and I found the Shannon boot very comfortable. I was a bit worried at first as the Shannon is an xford compared to the Galway which is a derby boot but they held out very well considering it was the first time I wore them!

Best to call or email the EG shop and ask them, they may be able to help.

I understand it's normal to achieve a higher polish on the toe-cap than elsewhere, and it usually looks fine, but this level of differentation in shine is too much for me. It gives the appearance of a two-toned shoe.

But if that's what you're after, to each his own.

The shaft is definitely bright, which is why I erred and picked the blue ones. I am sure they would look amazing after some darker polish; oxblood upper/cherry shaft after a few years.
