A trunk show can be a fantastic opportunity to get fitted, but be advised that some retailers don't carry a variety of width fittings or large/ small sizes. Thus, if you are a mulling an order at (or around the time of the show), you should attempt to make arrangements to get a try on pair of whatever you might need. A knowledgeable EG sales rep will be able to provide a lot of insight around fit, but nothing beats comparing sizes and lasts in-person with their help. Talk to the store people in because doing some of this try-on comparison work prior to the trunk show could prove helpful as well. Best of luck.

EG Trunk shows can be awesome, but they can be really frenetic and crowded as well, which is why doing some deliberate comparisons in advance with plenty of time to narrow things down is useful.

I would say it's essential to communicate with leffot ahead of time to ensure try on shoes in your last and size. They can bring in samples to help you fit. Granted I'm biased, but having worked at both department stores and specialty stores, I believe that at specialty stores we have both the special knowledge and training, and the direct communication with our partners like Edward Green to do a superior job fitting, and Leffot is one of the best.

Good luck, enjoy!

Well this dreadful oversight must be addressed forthwith! :D  The black dubmonks are gorgeous. Give some thought to a midnight blue austerity brogue - one of the absolute faves of my rotation.

How does the instep of the 82 last compare to that of 202? In same size and fitting, of course

For me it's about the same in F width, though I don't have any of the new 82 resin last

Not identical, to say the least. My 202s are in wider fittings and while the derbies are OK, the oxfords never really worked even with a little increase built in over the top.

By contrast, the standard width 82 fits me very well, even though I don't like the shape of it as much..

Excellent shade of Chestnut. Would you say Chestnut exhibits reddish/orange tones? I've only seen a pair in person briefly and that was awhile ago.

Details: Malvern, burnt pine, 888. It's my first pair on the 888, and they fit me like a dream - and the colour fills a nice spot between my edwardian, chestnut and doak footwear biggrin.gif

Beautiful. Love the color and the last. The 888 is my personal favorite. Hope you enjoy them! :)
