I think he must have had quite a few MTOs come in at the same time. And also was out of town prior to that (I believe). I received a couple of goodies this last week also and time from invoice to shipping was about 3 days. Then i got a tracking number but will take one week to get to me from the west coast.
I know it does not matter at the end since I waited about 8mos for these to arrive but this will be a long week.
All good at the end

I absolutely love them.

Congrats JPO those are beautiful.

hello EG fans,

here is my latest purchase, actually it was my grail loafer.

decided to go for chestnut instead of doak, as I plan to wear with jeans and hope that they develop a nice patina in the future.

this pic shows the shoes straight out of the box.

hope you like it.

Cowes after a lot of wear this summer. Thought I'd grab it occasionally, but it became all the time. This 888 fits me much better than some recent 82 shoes.

@Shouldaville how do you find the fit of the 888 different than the 82?

I might have to try the 888. While the 82 fits me remarkably well for RTW, it has much more of a triangular shape than I like. The square toe of 888 isn't my thing, but it seems to have a better-integrated front half.

Thanks. The overall fit is similar (which it is supposed to be), but some of the 82s just feel a quarter size or so large.

The square is probably a little more pronounced with the shorter cap of the U wing. Definitely give an 888 Asquith a shot.
