Not sure if it's meant to be a secret that some were delivered and not others. Happens quite frequently enough with a bunch of different makers. My pair is last-adjusted and according to Steve required a new pattern, hence the two week delay for my pair. Nonetheless, still excited!

You're probably the other gent (along with myself) who has something of a two week wait. I personally don't think a partial delivery warrants secrecy. What am I going to do, ask for a discount because EG hasn't finished my pair yet? I'm pretty sure we were originally quoted a November delivery, so this is still well in advance.

Either way the cat is out of the bag now. Not sure how big this cat is, though.

So Lefott has an EG trunk show coming up. Please forgive my ignorance. Can someone please explain exactly what happens at a trunk show?

Ah ok good to know. I don't really mind waiting neither, just hoping wait is due to EG not finishing and not due to my pair getting rejected. From personal experience I don't want to end up with a pair of shoes way worse than the seconds were.

Steve didn't say anything to me about keeping it quiet. I received an invoice this morning, confirmed with Steve it was the shell Galway's, then paid the invoice. If Steve asked me to keep it quiet I would have, but nothing was said to me. @MrVenneri seems to think it was supposed to be kept quiet, but his comment was the first I heard of it.

@stevent, haven't received them yet, but I will post once they arrive.

I chatted with him last night and he mentioned it. Not that it was some unscrupulous secret, just that he recieved only a partial shipment and wanted to keep it quiet. Regardless, no one seems disgruntled - water under the bridge.

They turned out beautifully, I' really pleased with the final product and I hope you all feel the same. smile.gif

Those are beauties. Especially the Navy Cordovan. Well done, sir.

Can you post them side by side with the leffot make up? I'd be interested to see them both.

When EG lists their shoes with an E width, is that equivalent to a D?

Better get a pic of these up from today before more shell Galway pics start rolling in.
