Been a while since I've posted but here are some new puppies:

Unfortunately, this pair developed the dreaded "below the cap crease." I've learned to accept it and the bull toe does minimize it.

It is kind of random, but since we are on the Edward Green thread, I finally have had some time to start working in my new Gold Delapre Alderleys and they are probably the most comfortable pair of shoes that i have ever tried on out of the box. EG was able to make me a 13.5/14 B on the 202 last and really pulled it in on the waist to give me a nice fit. I'm usually not a fan of rubber soles but they convinced me to try it with the dainite sole and it is so comfy. I'm really impressed!

Can anyone clarify what does "pull it on the waist" mean and how it affects the fit of the shoe? I wrote to mw313 but it seems like he hasn't visited the forum in a while.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.

I think he means they lasted it more tightly.

Related, are EG shoes hand lasted? I was rather surprised to see a promo video of GG showing a machine lasting process.

I was told at a trunk show that GG is hand lasted everywhere except the toe, which as you said is machine lasted.
