It's been a fairly dry summer and they haven't been exposed to much rain, but my impression is that grain would perform much better in harsh weather. And Zug would be one level up from grain. My overall fave choice for foul - weather wear is CXL, but I've never seen a Galway in that material.
Edit - I misread - you are comparing CC uppers to Utah - probably a push there.
Thanks for the thoughts Roger. Agreed on CXL being the ideal. I was hoping Utah might be similarly oiled/waxy but sounds like it's not quite.
