Haven't had the time to install toe taps but once I do, I'll going to get some wear out of them. I'm impressed with the finish. I was concerned with the burnish "cracking" on the counter and although these have some slight ones, they are negligible compared to others I've seen. Overall the finish is what you expect with EG. I actually like the style more in person. The only thing I wish they were able to do was avoid the front vertical seam. Personally I think it would have been better if it didn't have it but maybe structurally it's not possible

Aesthetically, I like how the side laces are mostly in the shaft area. It doesn't really jump out when worn and looks like a typically cap toe boot. I had a DOak Shannon and since I have many other bal boots, this pair really changes things up for me (never really got into button boots).

I'll post pics when I wear them.

Thank you! I'm sorry I didn't share right away. I didn't anticipate them arriving all the way from England in 24 hours and was on my way out the door. It's also pouring here. I want to provide proper pictures in natural lighting...They're the world's first in this makeup anyhow. ;)

Yeah I cannot find a reason, I debated a pair from FB and in the time it took to email them and get the ball rolling it sold out. Then I grabbed the all Doak as my make me feel better pair.

Making me regret that sale! Glad they fit you.

Forgot to snap a pic of the shoes up close but wore the gold delapre Dovers yesterday.

How are you guys caring for Delapre, just cream? I can't imagine using a paste on them since they are waxy. I was actually thinking of doing what I do for CXL, using just VSC and brushing since I noticed the neutral cream was leaving white residue in the creases even though I only used a small amount.

It's been a bit of a battle with my left foot, which is a hair longer compared to the right. They are slightly short on the left and my toes were going a bit too forward but after a few wearings now they seem to be giving in and feeling more comfortable with each wear. I told myself to forego my normal shoe rotation and wear these every 2 days for a week or two so I could speed things up haha.
