Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy - Page 1774

I nearly gave up on EG, I started with the Newlyn loafers in my post a couple of days ago on the 101 last and a pair of single monks on the old wooden 82 and both have proven on the tight side and are still going through a protracted break in - my feet are a difficult and compromised fit being nearly 1.5 sizes different so I couldn't size up - if you look at the pic of the Newlyns you can see my right foot has a fair amount of space where my left doesn't .

However, the little extra room in the new 82 last makes them a great fit for me, and I have found the 64 last very comfortable too so my Camdens and Galways have been wonderful.

I was very glad as aesthetically and in terms of quality EGs are my favourite shoes and I would have been very disappointed not to have been able to wear them.

What shoes do you put on when you have an early morning meeting with corporates and bankers followed by time with the nerds, and you want to fit in with both?

Hobnailed steel toecap workbooks and a damp cloth to wipe the gore off. That's just me tho

LOL. True.

But seriously...they were 202 last, Veldtschoen on Dainite. Would have been a sick boot. But I waited 9 or 10 months then EG delivered the boot made out of the wrong material. So I just backed out and ordered a Saint Crispin's instead.

The Russian calf is just that; printed calf. For me it "performs" and feels just like normal EG crust.
