Yeah tobacco suede 202 is a killer model that seems so versatile. As Ben said, the SF approved answer is "why not both?" though so I might need to add them each to my ever growing EG want list.

If you're considering a tobacco suede Dover, I would recommend Leatherfoot. Allan has been a pleasure to work with and will jump through hoops to help you with anything from sizing, pictures, MTO's, you name it.

That is where my Doak Dovers are from, dealt with John when I bought them. Even needed to sent them for repair and it was a pleasure dealing with them the whole time. Will be buying from them again in the future for sure, though I think the tobacco dover on 202 would fit in my collection better since my other 2 are both on the 606 already.

Mine when they were new, shots taken in different lighting conditions. These were MTO, made to my specs: Nutmeg suede Dover on the 606, B1 sole with natural Edge Dress:

I can hardly tell any difference between the Nutmeg and Tobacco. Can you?

Dover is also very nice in Mink Suede for a darker look.

IRL tobacco has more orange infused with it compared to nutmeg. Tobacco is in my opinion a bit more vibrant and louder than nutmeg. Nutmeg has not much orange to it at all.
I used to have a pair of E.G. shoes in tobacco suede, but had to sell them because the fit was not to my liking. The top two pictures come pretty close to how nutmeg looks in normal daylight.

Spot on! more "vibrant" would be my description as well

Trying to branch out a little bit and get something a little different from my standard cap toes, wingtips and dovers in black and brown.  Was thinking of one of these two and wanted to see what you guys would choose.

Westonbirt Chukka in Burgundy Delapre or EG Newmarket Chelsea in Rosewood Country Calf?
