You read correctly.  Yes, by inner lining, I meant the inside of the shoes and that would include the insole too.  I use the protective oil Saphir HP for that (once or twice a year).  It has worked well for me.

The boots are good and the 72 last is great but I would not be able to wear this colour.

@merv49 My guess is you can pair those similarly to tan grain. I think they'd look particularly good with off-white chinos. They'd also work with denim. It's no bad thing to have some "statement" shoes in one's collection.

I agree 100% the Galway on the 64 last is the most authentic looking country/ hunting boots the rest are all secondary for me!
