What timing you all have! 82 lasted rosewood CC on Dainite.

Looks a bit feminine on 82 last... haha

dddrees

Thanks a lot for your recommendation!

Am thinking of what's unique to EG or less seen on other makers. (not sure if that makes sense.. example colours, materials)

NewStart

I find Utah gold to be gorgeous too!

Navy appears to be very dark in the photos, and for blue shades I find their midnight blue antiqued very interesting.

Thanks a lot for your opinion guys! Happy Good Friday and a great weekend ahead :)

I have a 202 rosewood galway MTO with Steve but won't come until May/June.

Axel's actually! They're beautiful in sunlight...but unfortunately the D width is just a tough too tight, so they'll be going back today.

I agree! I'll probably lose the dainite and MTO it.

If it were any more feminine it'd come with a stiletto!

I had a Galway In Navy Utah actually, i used them mostly in the office with suit, as the blue is fairly muted inside. They are great for weekend as well with khaki, light colour pants etc

Gentlemen!

Unfortunately I have come to the realization that I am not a great fan of suede...

Before I post on B&S, I'd figured to give you gents first picks. They are all well kept, like new... Only worn 3 times at most.

I have the following all in UK9E without shoe trees:

82 last Cardiff Mink Suede (leather sole) - $750
82 last Dark Oak Galway Boot with Mink Suede (leather sole) - $900

Cost will include shipping + original shoe boxes and bags. I'll be more than happy to give to you the suede protector sprays as well no charge.

Thanks for your considerations smile.gif

I'll post photos of the shoes when I return home from work.

I take same size on TG73 last which is my favorite last & take same size on MH71 last. Also very good last & user feet friendly. In my opinion I feel EG run larger. I originally tried Dover 606 last on 9UK E width. It was huge and I had to size down to 8.5Uk E width. Since then have stuck to that size. Length & width is all fine you have to try it out if you can. There are general guide line to follow like going down half for both brand from your US size. But when you try on the shoe you would be able to tell if it works for you or not. I would say do your research & then pull a trigger. Thrope & glenco are crazy good icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I am 8.5/9uk, depending on weather the the forefront tapers before or not (narrow).  Like you, I had the chance to try on EG 606 on 9E uk and it was huge as you said. However size 8.5 E fits almost like a glove. Although I love the EG 202 last, size 8.5 E was painfull at my toes (no chance to test 202 F widht nor size 9 uk).

So for GG MH71 & TG73 you size up .5 in lenght but same width.

Thanks man, no chance to test them here, not even one GG retail.

@Zapasman I'm 8E UK in EG 606/202 and went with 8F for GG MH71 feminine Thorpe.

Thanks Steel28. So you just get same lenght but a wider size.  To be frank, GG is too sleek for my taste, but I admire their work.  And yes, Thorpes are for me a perfect boot.

The shrink-wrap fit and slightly curved forefoot coupled with that squared toe just completely turn me off. Personally I'm a fan of the 82 after I finally got the fitment correct. I like sleek...just not extreme euro sleek.

Ironically I just sold my fleet of gunboats (ravello, whiskey, and cigar)! If they were any wider and chunkier I'd have been able to walk on water. :)

hahahahha, you must love Deco line.....Sorry to hear all your  gunboats are gone. Shame on you!!:)

You wouldn't happen to be a UK8.5E would you my good man? If so...I would like to take those Shannon's off of your hands! :)

Edit: Just saw they are UK9E. /sulk

I'm size 8.5EUK/9US in 82 last and 8EUK/8.5US in 202/606. After doing research/talking to @Leaves and the gang I went with 8F in MH71.

No worries, someone should snatch those up in a heartbeat. Especially with coffee suede going by the wayside in favor of snuff suede...which I like far less by comparison. I've tried the UK9E, 9D, 8.5E, and 8.5D and 8.5E is spot on with the 9D as a close second. So close...yet so far away. frown.gif

Axel's has the oundle on sale in case anyone is interested. One of my early SF purchases. You don't see it around too often anymore.

Awesome Galways @MrVenneri, bummer they've got to go back.

I've come to believe that Rosewood is the Doak of country calf --- unique to Edward Green, light enough for the patina to really pop but not so light it's in your face, and gains incredible character as it ages.

I see more Rosewood purchases in my future.

@MrVenneri I am still hoping for those Bugundy Galways of yours! :stirpot:
