Would you wear the Inverness with denim?
@parkman24
Would anyone wear any shoes on the 82 last with denim or is that last too elegant for denim?

Twice a week at least. Just make sure you have the right cut.

Depends on the style for me. Derbies yes, Oxford no (since I have the derbies). By derbies I mean Galways. So the answer is Galways, as always.

To me it's not a question as to if I would/could wear an Inverness style shoe(full brogue oxford)with denim versus...given the multitude of better options, why would I? What advantage is there stylistically in pairing a formal shoe with casual jeans versus say a tassel loafer, chelsea boots, chukkas, derbies, etc?

82 last with denim today. Personally, I think Galways look excellent with denim but wouldn't wear oxfords with denim except in a pinch. I'd wear chelsea boots with denim as well.

^^^ Excellent.  And agreed.

^^^^ exactly. A derby boot such as the galway with denim over an oxford. The boots draw the eye without the observer asking himself where your suit went. Amazingly enough, I still don't have a pair for myself yet....oh wel,, there's next season....biggrin.gif

I think you can make the doak galway with mink suede on 82 last work very well with business casual - definitely not suits. Oxfords might be tricky to wear with jeans, but I think some work... However, those shoes are best with the business casual/formal wear :)

I was just on Leffot's site, and noticed they are still taking orders for the shell Galways.... thought that pre-order would have filled-up quickly. puzzled.gif
