Looking for some advice from anyone that has a shoe or boot in the Delapre leather. Is this cared for like chromexcel (greasy leather product from saphir) or can one use a cream polish on it?

I used Saphir Creme Universelle on my Westbourne's in Ebony Delapre, it seems to do an excellent job in nourishing the leather. This product is not greasy at all, after application (I rub it in with an old rag), it gets absorbed by the leather within one or two minutes. After some quick brushing it buffs to shine.

Thank you. Does it remove scuffs?

I have a few Brooks Brothers gift cards burning a hole in my pocket.  Was thinking of picking up the EG Asquith in cloud.  Any opinions?  How do you guys like the cloud color?  Versatility?

Cloud in a dress shoe is not the most useful in my opinion. It really depends what you are after. Certainly get whatever makes you happy.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone do that, typically it's something someone has to order via MTO. Keep in mind I haven't made the rounds and looked lately though.

I've seen stores carry the 202 Galway before. I think it's simply not as common as the 64 for the traditional round country look.

Have only seen the coffee suede 202s from Leffot. I think it's a great balance between the 64 and 82.

Sym; Gentlemen's Footwear (they have a thread here) will be stocking Galway in Burgundy Delapre/Burgundy Utah in 202 in a few months.

The 202 is a great last for the Galway boot. I think the Shannon is more appropriate for the 82 last.

Does anyone know where I can find a new EG polishing mitt? If anyone knows a source or can sell one to me, please PM or point me in the right direction. Thanks.

As others have said, there certainly are a few shops that run the Galway on 202. They don't do it much but in my opinion they should!
I own the suede Leffot ones and I'm on the preorder for the Gentlemen's Footwear ones.
You can see the suede ones about 20 posts up in this thread wink.gif
