No doubt you are by far the best-shod juror in the pool - nice!

Not much to compare too in the juror pool. It was a parade of north face and patagonia and disheveled footwear. Probably got picked just on the fact that i looked put together.
The prosecutor however was sharp and had a nicely tailored suit and decent shoes. I will have to step up my game tomorrow when i return.

Questions for anyone in the US that has made a purchase directly through Edward Green:

1. What shipping courier did they use? UPS, Royal Mail, Fedex, DHL, so on...
2. Did you get hit with any customs charges upon delivery?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can share their experiences.

I have. They use dhl. 40 pounds fixed shipping no matter how many shoes u get. You will be responsible for customs on full value. I believe its 8.5% for customs charges on shoes in usa.

Also subtract 60 pounds or so from web prices (no vat). Prices include shoe trees

Thanks, the price they quoted falls directly in line with what you predicted.
I was curious whether the courier used would result in customs charges or if it just kind of snuck through. So just to confirm, you did get hit with fees?

Yes on customs
Every time i have anything delivered from europe (10+ times) with dhl i have to pay customs on the full price listed on the invoice. If you acct for the shoe trees it is a little cheaper than the standard 1220 for shoes for us retailers. Also its about 2 day delivery from london to the east coast

Is that correct? I wrote to ask if they deduct VAT on shipment to Singapore, and they say they charge the price as-is on their website.

I did not order as a result.

They subtract VAT for sure. I have ordered 4 pairs from their site and VAT has been taken off every time.
Not sure if its only for the USA orders, but i dont see why they would not subtract VAT to singapore. The prices on the website are for EU customers as far i know

Out of curiousity I plugged in the address of Bee Cheng Hiang headquarters there in Singapore on the EG website....and VAT is deducted at the shipping page right after the registration page....So yes...EG takes VAT off for products going to addresses in Singapore...

I also went through the EG order process.for my address in Switzerland and it was the same thing. I needed to register all my shipping details & on the next screen they deducted the vat...

Flying home, last installment of this week's EG in airports across America, this time in the wacky outdoor airport of Palm Springs.
