Shipping time is tricky. I usually accept that once the store has dropped off merchandise to the transport company, it's out of their hands. There are a variety of reasons transport time varies, especially international ones due to customs.

I look forward to receiving my order from SkoAB. My Beaulieu should arrive in a week or two, then probably the Galways, then the Shannons. @dddrees Once I got rid of my Islays, the Galways were open season. I'm good with the two styles that I chose though; Shannons are the boots that I typically would wear at work.

Disappointed EG stopped making lasted trees. I'm on the fence about picking up a number of them but shoe trees >$100 that are unlasted is a steep jump from $30 Epic trees that fit okay. Funny, when trying trees, I found my JL trees (also unlasted) fit my EG's quite well.

So instead of the Suede Dover you decided to go with the Suede Halifax?

The Halifax isn't something I've quite figured out yet.

Agree, the ankle boot with a full rack of laces take away from the look for me. For chukkas, I prefer 2 to 3 eyelets.

Yes. Chukka with a handsewn apron is right in my wheelhouse

I like a 2-3 eyelet chukka but the fit with 5-6 is do far superior. I own and like both

I still have my Islays, and they remain one of my favorites to this day. I really like Crockett and Jones boots actually. I've actually kept all of the shoes I've bought since this SF thing happened to me. However I'm beginning to think about cleaning the closet a bit for the first time since this SF thing happened to me. LOL But the Islays will probably stay for at least now.

To this point I have always purchased EG shoe trees for all of the EG shoes I have purchased with the exception of one pair on the 89 last. I tried but I couldn't either find one in that last and the other sudo lasted trees for 82 and 202 didn't work. I did this for G&G, JL, Vass, and SC. I even did this for one pair of handgrade Crockett and Jones. Yes I know EG maybe the one out of the bunch that are not truly lasted, but hey I prefer it this way so I have been willing to spend the extra money for it.

I have to give it to you, your a true boot guy to the core. Maybe one day I'll figure out the Halifax to, however in the meantime I've decided to explore other things.

I am currently working on a pair of Shannon's, black for the base but can't decide if I should go mink or coffee suede for the shaft.... Ordering through Leathersoul. They are checking to see if we can do black shell on the Shannon, I thought I read somewhere that EG will not do shell on the Shannon.

guilty as charged. I have been working hard to round out my shoe collection as of late though. Vass captoe, Viberg derby, EG Dover and EG Ullswater should help
