Does anyone have any experience with Leffot's Dark Burgundy lower x berry suede shaft Galways? I'm currently talking with a gent who's looking to sell his but I'm concerned with his sizing remarks. He claims that this 82 lasted boot fits extremely large...in excess of 1 full US size larger than what's marked. This has not been my experience with the 82, but I've only tried it on once...I own a 64 lasted boot which I am quite happy with.

Any information/insight is appreciated.

Thank you,

Well supposedly there has been a recent change to the 82 Last size as a result of moving to the resin models for their Last which has in effect made the size of this particular Last larger. I don't have any actual experience with this change but all you have to do is look at the last couple of pages of this thread to see what I am talking about.

Thank you for the prompt reply sir.

I believe these were first created in mid-2013...so this recent conversion should not apply correct? I was just wondering if this particular Leffot makeup was irregular as far as sizing is concerned.

If they were made in 2013 then no this conversion would not be a factor. EG sizes are standard regardless of vendor although the widths different vendors may chose to carry maybe different. Axels for instance generally caries EGs D width where most other vendors stock EGs E width shoes and boots. I'm not sure when exactly EG started using their new resin Lasts for the 82 but the changes has been fairly recent.

Anybody know what kind of heel stiffeners EG uses?

Usually we talk about EG's boot and shoe offerings, but was wondering if anyone else has tried their house shoes (slippers)? I have a pair of their blue Royal Albert's I picked-up on sale 2 years ago, and was able to pick-up another pair last week in burgundy (also on sale). I find them very comfortable, and keep the blue pair at my office for wear. I plan on wearing the burgundy pair at the house, as my pair of Drapers are starting to show their age.

Does wearing slippers and one with a logo emblazoned on it in office attract stares?

..... Unless the company has your name.....

No, but my staff is well aware of my admiration for EG, based upon the number of shoe deliveries made.... LOL.

I asked because i have been thinking about getting slippers for the office for the longest time. Not with any sort of logo but plain velvet ones.

I think you may need 41.5 on the 888 and 41 on the 202 but you need to be sure if they are an E or F width.
