Gents, can any of you comment on the fit of the 100 last? I've searched and the one definitive comment I found suggested that I should go up half a size. I'm a US 10.5 on the 888, 202 and 606 lasts.

Any input would be appreciated.

Good morning and a happy Monday to you all gentlemen!

New England has some strange weather lately... it is the beginning of February and there is barely any snow here! With a high temperature of 59 degrees, I'm sporting the Edward Green Wells in dark oak today - probably one of my favorite looking shoes that I have.

Have a great day!

Those are some gorgeous wingtips you got there @coldinboston!! I'm still waiting on my Invernesses on the 82 last... hopefully get those by the end of the month. I've been dying to get my hands on a pair of wingtips from EG - no other shoe can compare to the beauty of it! Have you stopped by Mr. Sid's in Newton? They usually run some good deals for EG occasionally. That's where I got my first pair of EGs :slayer:

On a side note, you should get on those tire changes before the impending snowpocalypse hits LOL!

I work about a mike from Mr Sid and thankfully for my wallet i did not know about them until the last year. They have some excellent sales on EG (among other goodies) at the end of the season sales. Andrew had a chelsea on cloud antique and a jodhpur on bronze for 50% off this year but unfortunately those were not my style.

No one does broguing like EG. I have also have an inverness on the 202 in nighshade pending but mine has an estimate of late march-april. Just have to be patient.

I think that I am going to risk going without winter tires this year. My tailor told me that this year will be very moderate in terms of snow and temp, and i trust him smile.gif
Summer performance tires dont perform well in Boston if it snows....

That's where I just got my two EGs on sale. Both less than $1000. Andrew is fantastic!

Yeah I'm not a fan of the recent shoes that they received from EG. I prefer the timeless classics with colors only in dark oak, burgundy, or black. Perhaps that is the conservative side in me lol.

Regardless, the team over at Mr. Sids is great! Josh and Andrew have provided me some top notch service. They are supposed to receive a shipment of loafers in whisky cordovan on the new duke last. I think this was formerly the 137 last - it was an old last that they are now re-introducing... should be gorgeous!

@coldinboston - I think your tailor may be right! A few of my friends told me that based off the Old Farmer's Almanac, this winter should have been quite rough. However, now that January has passed, hopefully we can skirt by February and March. Gives us Bostonians and New Englanders more of a reason to wear our EGs without fear of nature :)

I'm so glad to hear that there is a good number of us that go to Mr. Sids for our EGs! Hopefully I will see some of you gentlemen there... if you see a fellow that looks Korean, that probably is me :foo:

I have to say, all the recent pictures of the 72 lasted boots have got me thinking that this is a really great last. I would be interested in seeing a pair of Galways (likely rosewood CC) made on the 72 and then compared against the 64. Seems like the 72 would hold it's own.

No galway vs galway, but here is rosewood cc galway on 64 and kentmere on 72. Galways are f width, kentmere is E
I prefer the 72

If anyone has feet like mine then this is the best last for them, I have found the 72 to be the most comfortable last for me with the 202 and 64 following close.

@coldinboston, Great pic, thanks. How do they fit in comparison? I would have to agree with you here, and say the F last is nicer looking. It's just a hint more shapely, and the toe is a touch more refined, which I think makes a big difference.
