Great stuff there! Would you mind sharing the make up of the Edwardian antiqued looking pair, 82 last?

It's chestnut antique with chestnut delapre, 82 last and natural sole edge and double leather sole.

Edit:  I mean utah, not delapre, on both models.

Hey gents. I'm thinking about my next EG order, a lighter colored derby to be worn mostly with jeans with occasional sport coat and trouser duty. Looking for the 82 last (just love it) and no brogueing, which eliminates a lot of the EG catalogue. Thought some of the gents here might be able to point me in some interesting directions.

Does anyone know if EG has a captoe derby with no brogueing? Basically a Wells sans brogueing? I'm also interested in the new Westbourne --- anyone have any IRL pics?

Thanks in advance for the help!

You are looking for the Bordon.
I actually did order one in a darker brown with r1 sole.

I would not go with 82 if you're wearing with jeans mostly. I realize it looks better than 202, 58, or 72 on its own, but those 3 lasts are going to look way better with denim. Personal opinion, but 82 only looks good with creased trousers, otherwise it's too pointy.

Hi,

A sizing dilemma and every bit of help is appreciated. Sorry if it turns out to be a long paragraph.

I have mostly worn US 9.5 D in RTW shoes before I discovered EG and other high-end shoe manufacturers. EG's 82 last in D width and UK 9/US 9.5 size was a good fit, quite snug at start but a good fit. I tired 202 and 606 in 9/9.5 D and 8.5/9 E but they did not fit my feet. I have now few EG's 82 last shoes in 9/9.5 D.

Yesterday, I had my feet measured with the brannock device. Turns out I am 10.5 B on both feet. Since very few shoes manufacturers, except Allen Edmonds perhaps, have RTW shoes available in the B width,  I  was never fitted with a 10.5 B. Therefore, increasing the width from B to D but decreasing the length from 10.5 to 9.5 allowed me to wear shoes that fitted my feet. However, as it is not my exact size, I fit in very few lasts of EG, C&J etc. My Sales Associate has offered me that I choose two shoes, one in 10.5 B size and the other in 10 C size,  and he will place a MTO with EG. If they fit me, great. If they don't, he would accept the return as he reckons he can sell them later.

According to the Sales Associate, not only the 82 last will fit me better in my actual size, 10.5 B, but I may be able to wear other EG lasts such as 202 and 606. Does this sound like a good plan? If yes, should I try  the 202 and 606 lasts with these orders or stick with 82? I have also shot an email to EG for their advice. I do not see myself travelling to EG England store in the future to be properly fitted.

Thank you for reading a long post

Why not start with 82, since it seems to please you aesthetically and be the right general shape for your feet?
Especially if the shop will take the risk on its not fitting, that seems like the right place to go.

Also consider Aldens-- their lasts are all over the place in sizing, but most of them have lots of widths to choose from.

Thank you. Though I will still be restricted to one last in EG but I may end up discovering a better fitting 82 last. Seems like the way to go.

Where do you live, E.G. also has a store in Paris and they also do trunk shows now and then at various locations across the globe (at least they used to).

I live in Chicago. As per my knowledge, they do trunk shows at Leffot and Leather Soul in the US.
