Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy - Page 155

Thoughts on the EG polish that they sell? I've been a bit timid (trying to take care of the shoes) in applying the polish, so have been rubbing it gently in with a cloth, then shining them up. But the polish seems to be uneven - (darker in some areas than others as it seems to dry out quicker than I can evenly spread it around).

Should I just brush the polish in and stop being such a wuss?

I got the Beaulieu in Edwardian Antique. I like it a lot. It's definitely very light, but I think it will age very nicely after a few years of polishing.

I don't understand the love for Dover. Can't dig the split toe.

It's OK - but like you, I can't understand the hype about it.

I think it's considered EG's iconic shoe by some (similar to Vass' Norweger, Alden's LWB, AE's Park Avenue). I have a pair in dark oak and do like them.
