I dig the look of these limited edition Galways. Bully for anyone who snagged a pair. I'm sure more crup boots and Galways will be made in the future. Edward Green has raised its boot game: cordovan, Utah/suede, and leather/ cotton twill Galways, plus the Kentmeres. Plenty for shoe and boot guys to admire.

I'm still waiting for the Nevis boots to materialize as well. Enjoy the shoe-gazing, gentlemen. Cheers.

Hi , I would need some sizing advise for the Thorpes in the MH71 last, please.

I wear 8.5 E for the EG 606 Dover shoe and the fit is very good.  I read here (homework done) that both last are very similar and that the MH71 last is a bit looser in a boot than in a shoe ( ?).  I would not like to have to use very thick socks for those boots.

For those who have the 606 in a shoe and the MH71 in a boot: Should I get the Thorpes in:

a) 8.5 F size   (same size than 606 last in a shoe). Hope not to have problems with my medium/highish instep.

b) 8, 5 G         (same lenght but more girth).

c) 9 F.            ( size up by 0.5)

I wont have the chance to try them on before I pull the trigger (no retailers in Spain), so thanks a lot for your help.

For what it is worth, I have Dovers in size 7.5E on the 606, and I also have Thorpes in size 7.5F on the MH71. The fit on both are really great for me. Every foot is different, of course . . .

I didn't initially want to say anything, but this is because I don't own anything on the 606. However everything I own on the 82, 888, 202, and the 64 are in E and I also own the Thorpe on the MH71 in E as well. The E in the MH71 is more narrow but it fits fine for me. Of course I have no intention of wearing thicker socks though.

Many thanks Fc, I think this is the general consensus here.

That takes me to the same conclusion: 8.5 F in my case.

Cheers dddrees.
