Is anyone planning to hit the trunk show and special event at Leffot?

Please share photos and experiences of the special event in particular. Cheers.

Would love to but will not be able to attend. Want to order a pair of Hove monk wingtips in grey.

Finally I had the chance to test Dovers in the 202 and 606 lasts. My experience is that 606 has just a bit more room at the toe area.  This last fits me almost perfect,

I wear Rain 9 UK size (I would say my size is 8.75 UK) and a 8.5 uk on the 606 Dover is great.  I find the 202 a bit tighter in the toe box.

If  GG MH71 last is quite close to the EG 606, I shoul go for the Thorpe.!!

I would wait until people who have both weigh in, but I find the MH71 to be close to the 888.  I don't own the 606. If you think the 606 is good, the MH71 might be too narrow.

Like similar to TG73 or no? I take 9uk on tg73 last & went for 9UK on MH71 last also.

I don't own any GG/EG shoes except on MH71, 888, and 82, all 8UK E.  I only tried on the 606 in store, my impression was that it's wider than all of these lasts.

Got yea & I would agree 606 is very spacious last.

Thanks davely, although I have time to wait for the Thorpes (It takes at least 6 month for me to buy this pricey items) so I will invest my time in finding out what you said.:fonz:

I know your lasts (many shoes in a short time), close to mine.  I tested a  8.5 uk Galway on the 82 in Utah leather last week.  My problem with this boot it is the short heel stiffener that does not wrap my heel.  I did not like the fitting (slight heel slipage) so I am not that crazy for it on this last..

On the other hand, I took a 8.5 Forest boot in suede 3 weeks ago.  Fit is good, a bit snug in the high instep but it will loose with wear.

Pic of the 1st day.

Good luck with you Galways on the 82!!

I have tested too a 8.5 uk DM Westminster on the 888 last;  I can wear it in that size.  But if MH71 is closer to the 888 last instead of the 606 last, I would go for a 9uk size with the Thorpes.  Still time to make my mind.  Thanks again
