Pics are mandatory. It's in the Zug charter and everything.
Thanks for the comments, gents.
To be honest I didn't think so, like you I thought it was well suited as well. Just thought I would ask because @sevenfoldtieguy brought it up.Is the last a point of controversy? It's not sleek, but then this isn't a Shannon. Seems well suited to a rugged hard-wearing boot like this. I'll see if I get the chance to wear them out for a day some time this coming week.
SFTG is personally not a fan of the 64 last. Many others seem to like it though

Good point, I forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder.I do not think that last was ever a point of contraversy. This type of boot with veldtschoen construction is only available on 64 last.
Good to hear. I expect these to be a have a more rounded toe so I don't expect to have any issues either.Yes - that is what made me think there might have been some controversy - but you're right -can't please everyone. But I am very pleased indeed.
No harm, no foul here.No controversy here, and certainly I meant to start none.
Whenever guys try the 64 for the first time (and without ever having it on their feet), I am reminded of my less than positive experience with it. I bought a Country Calf Galway online that looked very nice in pictures, only to put them on to discover I did not like how they looked (and it wasn't because I expected sleek; I knew that would not be the case). I wore them a handful of times trying to convince myself i would "warm up" to the 64. it was not to be. The fit was decent, but, personally, I didn't like how they looked. I ended up getting rid of them. It's the only EG last I affirmatively dislike. But I acknowledge I may very well be in the minority. And, certainly, not every last is for everyone.
I am glad to see that the guys like their new boots.
First world problems....
Carry on.
No harm, no foul here.
Mine won't get here for a little while so I figured I'd pass the time by getting opinions of those receiving their boots earlier.
Sorry to hear this last didn't work for you.
Good to hear, glad your pleased as well.I have an F64 Galway and I like the look. For the type of boot that it is, I think it looks like it should. My boots will pull daily duty/inclement weather duty with fully casual attire. I dig em!
I hope all you Zug owners like the 64 last. I don't want anyone to have to sell them (as much as I'd like to see a UK8 for sale).
