Todays Zug update...Zug pack migrating from toftanas....practically here.

Our zugglets must be traveling together. Your dirty southern Zugs better not cross contaminate my elitist northeast Zugs. Can't have any black sheep in my lineage

Agreed on both points.
I've bought this pair recently and I'm a bit surprised I haven't seen a lot of black double monks out there. Seems like a lot of people prefer other colors but black, not sure why.

I suspect a lot of people get double monks after they've already got more "basic" shoes in black, and so they're more interested in diversifying their wardrobe.

My first double monks were in black, though (C&J Lowndes) because I wanted the versatility of wearing them to work, wearing them to parties, wearing them casually, whatever. My second pair, E.G. Westminster, are in maple and I definitely wear them less often than the black BUT they are gorgeous and I get a lot of compliments in them when I wear 'em (but I have never worn them to work).

Has anyone seen the printed Delapre leather? EG calls it Utah?

I asked this same question maybe a month ago. Nobody responded. I've seen pictures of Utah(and held swatches) - looks amazing. Basically a cross between Delapre and country calf. I was inches away from pulling trigger on an MTO, but want to see/feel Utah in the wild first.

I agree, I do not like black shoes except these! and now that EG are making something similar which is even better.

Was it soft like the standard Delapre? Thinking of doing a banbury or Halifax in it.....

Utah leather is just as same as hatch grain leather from Horween factory, EG just calls it differently

This is a Utah leather

Attention gentleman, this is not a FS thread. As such, it is against forum rules to post FS listings here in thread. A link in your sig is allowed, and that is all. If you think someone in specific may want your shoes, PM them.

Does anyone here size UP in the 184 loafer last from the 202/606/82/888 shoes? Or do you take the same length/width.

I'm asking because I got the Piccadilly 184 last in the same size and it feels almost too snug, and not sure if I should just deal with it or size up.

I size down one width. But then again I like my loafers rather snug.

Hmm. I was told by a very reliable source that the EG Utah leather is stamped Delapre......

I had hatch grain swatches from G&G, I saw EG Utah leather swatches. I am positive this is the same lather but it is called differently.
