I pm'ed @leaves to inquire if we have enough folks for a gmto of the bronze/black cc galway. We have 7 so far, but a couple want f rather than e width, so not sure if that changes things.

That changes things.

What do you guys plan to wear the black/bronze with? Just curious bc I like the boot but the colors have me confused on wearability. Maybe I just lack imagination.

Anything you'd normally wear with dark brown. Bronze is a fancy shade of dark brown, and that's all you see when you wear it on your feet with slacks/pants

I don't get it.
. Hrmm. Makes sense - sort of. I like the bronze, not so much the black. Thanks.

The black throws me off as well. I think the whole boot in bronze would be killer. Not that I'm trying to change the makeup...just making a statement.

Black is about the only color that would give a sufficient dark contrast to the bronze, which appears olive or green/brown. Walnut country calf would be more subtle, but that's a stylistic choice. I can't recall if any other EG material that is lighter would work.

Japanese selvedge, I assume - I'm sure you'd wear nothing less. I was thinking that if nothing matches, I would wear them with nothing.
I almost wrote going commando in them as well but figured you had already considered that as a #menswear option. Absolutely Japanese selvedge with somewhere between a 5" and 7" inseam...

This is correct. As a practical matter, the black is a non-factor.

Monster PSA for Toronto

Edward Green Shoes for $395 (selling out fast)

Luciano Barbera dress shirts (tons of sizes) for $95

Brioni, Pal Zileri and Pal Zileri Sartoriale ties for $45

At Robert Jones.

I picked up a pair of Burnt Pine Ashbeys. They're amazing.
