Try Leather Soul. They usually stock in E width.

Edwards of Manchester carries EGs in F widths.

It was beautiful. I thought they were closed - the door was closed and the curtains were drawn. But once I buzzed and was let in, the sales associate was very nice - a real gentleman.

Last time for now. I'll more or less be out of ammo after this. I've already posted most spectacular stuff in the previous 2 'picture' posts.

Does anybody here know how to get in contact with Edward Green? I've tried it via their website and the e-mail address given on it but haven't received any answers. Thanks!

I assume you mean the Jermyn street store? I would try giving the store a call- once you connect with a sales person, and you get their email address, they tend to be very responsive to emails.

Hmm, I received a prompt and courteous reply from enquiries@edwardgreen.co.uk. However, I was told that I might be liable for import duties since I reside outside of the EU.

For those who have ordered directly from EG, did you have to pay this tax? If so, how much was it, and are there ways to avoid it?

I believe EG is obliged to declare the full value of the shoes on the customs declaration form.

Well, it depends on where you live, and the tax laws of your country. For instance, HK is a free port. So I do not think that someone resident in HK will need to pay any tax on EGs shipped to HK. Some other countries have an exemption limit, for which any amount below that limit is not subject to tax.

I received a bill from UPS for $80 some months after receiving my shoes. I simply ignored it and it went away.

I always wonder how this works. In my experience, they have always held the package until I paid the bill.

Thanks. I just asked for a catalogue, a list of EG retailers in my country and if they are planning any trunk shows this year. So far I've tried it three times but no reaction. Whenever I was in contact with them before the communication was fine.

In my experience, if you have the shipment sent to your work -- a commercial address, presumably -- they'll track you down and make you pay the bill.
