looks great with the dress trousers. its really hard to pull off dress shoes - even double monks - with jeans. proportions, along with the fit and wash of the denim are critical

^ I dig it! But photo 1 -> sweatpants?

Anyway, my thirst for a pair like these is increasing rapidly. But atm I'm considering going for the AS cordovan version in whiskey seen here http://www.afinepairofshoes.co.uk/products/alfred-sargent-exclusive-ramsey-whiskey-shell-cordovan-limted-edition

Not sure I like the double stitching though, and can't really figure out how the 99 last compares to the 888. Judging from the photos the 99 seem more sleek and rounded, but it's hard to tell.

Thanks a lot for the photos, really inspiring!

Check out the Epaulet / Carmina double monk, similar color, they have definitely done it in cordovan in the past.

No problem, was actually fun :)

Sweatpants is the new thing, didnt you know icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I was never a fan of the double monk, but a few weeks ago I went to skoaktiebolaget here in stockholm to try out which size i had on the 888 last and I tried the Westminster in black and it was just instant love. Had they not been black I would have bought them instantly. The AS looks really nice as well though and that color looks really good and will look awesome as it matures.

We actually just got some new stock in a similar Westminster.

Westminster in Antique Maple and a natural sole edge, brass buckles, 888 last.

That is true, it's only a very limited series, sizes UK 8.5-10. Possible to order for a spring delivery though. smile.gif These actually arrived too early, we thought they would arrive in March.

edit: added pic
