Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy - Page 106

Anyone have a comparison picture of EG's in Dark Oak and in Bronze. Never seen EG's in Bronze in real life, have seen them in pictures but in different lighting the color looks... well different. Also interested to hear your thoughts on the color.

For what it's worth I am considering a pair of MTO Galway's in Bronze.

I am really digging these. What color trousers would go best with these? Thanks

White, Khaki, I could also see these going with a navy windowpane/check possibly.  Very beautiful shoes I must say though.

Shearling Galway in walnut country calf and mink suede, hopefully a feature of many winters to come, alongside the almond country calf model (both veldtschoen). Colour is most accurate in the bottom photo:

How mutch did you pay for the boot? Best winter boot i have seen so far absolutely fabulous.

How long is the wool lined?

Cheers!

Boot cost around £900 I think (will check), and the shearling lining is just on the reverse of the suede so I went TTS on the boot itself. Just heading out in it now to test drive it at the local German Christmas Market...

Looks like Ralph Lauren will be carrying less and less EG. Was at the Mansion talking about the lack of EG shoes and the SA commented that they were moving away from them because EG couldn't keep up with demand.

Really? That's either business suicide or very protective brand management.

Don't know the truth of it, but that was the SA's comment when I mentioned the lack of stock.

They'd only have finite production capacity at the factory. If they're selling more shoes and boots direct to the public, those orders would take precedence over others as they can sell for full retail. Exactly the same way that Crockett & Jones are doing business, these days.

Aren't they just? Bloody bullet-proof, too, based on what they've put up with today. Very, very happy with them.

Anybody want to do a Galway group MTO with Skoaktiebolaget in Green with brown suede upper? C&J did a similar boot for Barneys

Price would be 8700 SEK (6960 SEK ex VAT) open to specific details
