Anyone here owns shoes in both mink suede and clove suede?

Here you are:

The clove has quite a red sheen to it in certain light, but it was one of the first colours I thought of when I saw your picture of Heather Gorse with the three suede swatches. I included a Rosewood pair so you could compare further, although I think Heather Gorse is a bit darker.

Perhaps laufer had the best suggestion: to let EG decide, or at least advise.

Hope this helps.

I would take same size in 64 as 82/888/202 etc.

Width is similar to 202, instep resembles 888, and it's shorter than 82 so toes don't wiggle around

I am going with a wider width fitting to accommodate thick socks. Does that make sense?

I just love that Rosewood CC Adelaide wingtip. I think I have to have that. Seriously nice make up. Which model is that, can't recall I've seen it before?

Fellow EG enthusiasts: I'm considering purchasing the EG suede single monks below but I fear the design may be a bit too much - sort of like the shoe doesn't know whether it wants to be a full brogue or a monk strap. I have no problem wearing shoes (or anything) that's a bit out of the mainstream (I even like paisley ties which don't get alot of love here!). Are these a bridge too far? Any opinions?
Great shoe.

^ Seeing this feels like looking at a fossilized dinosaur or the remains of some strange monster from the bottom of the ocean. They do exist! Or they did. Perhaps science can bring them back…

I don't own a pair of 64, I have only tried them on for fitting. IMO it fits like the 202. I did not think of it as either higher or lower across the instep to be honest.

Excellent now I have something I can directly compare it too. However since I've made the choice already, it's just good to know I made the right choice.
