Certainly to each is own. These three for me are eg's staples. Good news for me, I can now step out and get a little more adventurous.

Dover and Galway have both been SF groupthink top picks.

I prefer the Shannon over the Galway, and not a fan of the Dover. But I like the boot version of the Dover, whatever it is called. Halifax?

I've never pulled the trigger on a boot though. Too unusual for my office, and no EG boot is actually appropriate for the romanticized tough weather/conditions applications.

EG's top 3 for me are the Chelsea, Oundle and Beaulieu. I know most of you will say Dover, but I've bought 4 pairs of Dover because of the groupthink and ended up selling every one. Not saying you guys are wrong, just saying that I don't get it

Everyone has preferences, there is no right or wrong opinion to have. My logic is with these models, pretty much all situations are covered.

Why Only 3 pairs of EG? All this talk about only 3 EGs has me questioning your life priorities and resolve to be the best dress gent in your respective towns. Go get a job at mcdonalds or Walmart if need be but don't put yourself in a EG shoe box corner by limiting yourself to 3.

I think we all agree dark oak is king. My favorite models:

Galway
Shannon
Nevis
Asquith
Oundle

Not groupthink for me.

Lots of good choices to pick from though.

I love the Shannon. I am not really into the Galway--but I can see how people like it. I love the Dover. My favorite EG model is actually the Southwold-a sleeper for sure.
