yeah that makes, sense.

I think the one that I bought from CVS is very old because i cant even scoop some out with my finger, i need to use a spoon. Also when I rub it together in my palms it doesn't become creamy at all

One thing I've gathered from perusing vintage/golden-age sites is that a key component of maintaining a slick, vintage style (be it straight back, side parted, pompadour, etc) is to carry a comb. It's not always a matter of using a product that lasts all day, but using one that allows you to clean it up during the course of the day using a comb or brush either dry (in the case of a wet-look soft product) or with a bit of water (in the case of a mousse or gel). That would allow you to keep a sharp, maintained look with a product that would be easier on your hair and would allow you to choose something pleasing to the ladies' touch.

ive had this problem for a few months now , i usually spike up my hair i would use a waterbase pomade from "labella" and a hard up gel from "shortnsexy" its been working for me for years until the last few months i have no idea why and im hoping someone can help me out , i like to spike up and mold my hair and i would use the pomade and hard up gel and it would keep my hair in place and very stiff just the way i like it , but the last few months i would use the same products and ive even tried different ones but nothing is working , if i use the pomade and gel together now my hair doesnt dry up or stiffen at all it stays in place and it dulls out after an hour or 2 i really need help i have no idea what to do , my hair isint that long its about inch and half pleaseeeeeeee helppppppp
