He got fired because he was better dressed than the Boss? - Page 4

Employee (over)dresses better than boss
Boss is mistaken as being the employees subordinate
^occurs on multiple occasions thus creating a pattern of behavior
Employee is asked to correct his behavior
Employee doesnt change
Employee is fired. It's not about the suit. He was asked me make a reasonable change and ignored it. Good riddance

Even the employer had asked your friend to dress down, the scope of 'dressing down' is pretty large, I could have claimed wearing a less colourful tie means 'dressing down', while keeping everything else. And really if your friend was a top performer, your boss should really keep a good asset in his company
Or put it that way, since your friend is good in his job, surely he can use this as a advantage for his future job interview
That is just my uneducated guess.....
Or did I put too much time on a troll thread?

Assuming this is a serious thread, the above are good points. Did the firing happen in an employment-at-will area, where no reason needs to be given for job termination?

California is an at will state and im sure that if these reasons were the only ones. He would most likely receive benefits.

I think that there's a lot of symmetry in iammatt's state capital gains taxes supporting an unemployed wearer of bespoke clothing.

Speaking of Cali, what's the latest on Arnold?

My main concern is that he might not be having enough sex.

Is Arnold back in Brazil?

IF this indeed is a real situation then your friend has a law suit on his hands. This is discrimination although an unusual one. I'm serious.

Maybe the suit was bespoke, but had low armholes.

That's a f*cking crime in my neighborhood.

From bespoke suit to law suit in 57 pages: StyFo at its best.
