I would recommend wearing the same size in Alcudia, Simpson, Robert, Queens, and the loafer adapted Uetam last as you wear in Edward Green. They are all notably snug around the instep. Oscar is also somewhat snug but is more roomy in the vamp and the toe box than the aforementioned lasts.

Thank you. Simpson in size 8 wouldn't be too small, i.e. short and/or tight around the toes?

In my experience, the Simpson last in UK8 fits similar to the 888 last in UK8E. I don't find either of them to short, though I find them far to tight around both outer and inner ball.

Why does no one seem to know anything about the Xim last?
I'm somewhere between 10.5e and 10.5f on the EG 82 last. Widths forefoot and high instep. Would 10.5 on the Xim work?

Looking for a bit of opposite sizing advice:
If I wear a
7.5UK Rain (chukka) (if any tighter then it would be too tight)
8UK Forest (boot) (roomy with thin socks, but not too roomy)

what size in vass U last should I get? I have high instep and regular width feet.

I'm also 7.5D in Alden barrie, 8.5D in Allen edmonds 5 last

Is there any difference in fit between a monk and bal? Should I adjust size at all? Looking to buy these in brown calf:

Is the Simpson last more elongated than the alcudia, or are they about the same?

Sorry, need some help from you guys.

I'm moments away from purchasing a pair of Carmina shoes on the Rain last.

I'm a 6.5 with Loake shoes and usually wear about US7.5-US8 on other shoes with a foot length of about 26.5 cm.

Should I also order a UK6.5 with Carmina shoes in the Rain last?

Thanks for the advice guys!

I can't speak for anyone else, of course, but I take a UK9 in most English shoe brands, including Loake, and I also take a UK9 in the Rain last.

Therefore, if you're happy with the fit of your Loake shoes, then I'd tend to go for the same size in the Carmina Rain last.

I've searched the thread, and I can't find any real information on the Alaro last. I'm looking at getting some loafers, but I have no idea how they would fit. My only real references are given below (and are unfortunately decidedly un-loafer-y):

Loake Capital Last (vaguely true-to-size I think?): 10.5 UK

DC Lewis 101 Last: 10.5 UK (excellent fit - the Loake is slightly too wide, but size 10 is a tad too small)

Quoddy boat shoes: 11US

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Not sure why I didn't post in here.

Looking at a suede Chelsea boot on the Soller last.

The only Carmina shoe I have is on Oscar in scotch grain, and the 7.5UK fits perfectly.

I measure 8E with a high instep. I wear 8D in Alden Barrie.

Should I size the suede Chelsea a 7Uk?

How much wider is Soller vs Oscar? Does the suede and elastic part mean the boot will foot less snug than a normal calfskin boot?

Those variables plus the wider Soller last have me thinking of going with 7Uk. I'd prefer a snug fit with dress socks.

Almost certainly, Simpson fits very similarly to Uetam, I wear the same size in both.
